A bit about myself

Howdy!

So I guess this is the post where I delve a bit into who I am, what interests I have, and blah blah blah yeah you get the idea here.

Well I'm a 23 year old Californian born and raised. I obviously have 2 parents (Stan & Tina)  and 1 older brother (David) (28 or 29 I think) all whom I love dearly. I'm not going to give you a life story here; just some background information. I've lived all over Southern California and I love it but at the same time also hate it. I'm currently living in Europe. Norway to be more specific, southern Norway to be even more specific with my mother-in-law (Linda) and sister-in-law (Maya).

I'd like to think I'm an intelligent person and according to most people I know, they can vouch for that. That being the case I've never really been fond of school but I guess most are like that. It's not that I don't like learning, I do, I just hate learning stuff I have no interest in. When it comes to interests I have loads! And at the moment I'm trying to figure out what exactly I want to pursue in the form of higher education. So, more will be revealed later on about my plans and so on.

My interest range so so much. Perhaps a short list of all that captures and inspires me? Veganism (I've been vegan for almost 3 years) , animal rights, equality, anarchy, peace, feminism, cycling (mostly track bicycles aka fixed gear), music (punk, crust, sludge, doom, metal, bluegrass, musicals, indie etc), DIY, sewing, activism, tattoos, piercings, body modification of any kind really, and the list goes on.

I love love love animals of all kinds and I have 2 cats. Their names are Milkshakes and Brock Samson (I usually call him broccoli). I have plans to have many more pets in my life once I have the time, money, and space for them. I'll talk more about that at another time as well. I also have become quite fond of 3 other cats that I love just as much as my own. They are Linda's cats and their names are Tarzan, Felix, and Simpel.

Now onto my wonderful wife. That still sounds funny to me when I say that because we have only recently gotten married!!! November 10, 2012 was and still is the happiest day of my life. I'm totally head over heels in love with Malin Thilesen Goldberg and each and every day I have with her makes me the luckiest guy in the world. You'll be hearing plenty about her so I'll save more about her for anther post. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that she is Norwegian and that is why I'm residing in Norway.

There is so much I haven't even been able to get into yet as I don't want this to be a huge post. More will be reveled as I continue this blog. I am a simple person. It doesn't take much to make me happy and this is honestly a pretty new concept for me. As long as I'm surrounded by good friends, good food and music, and love and support I will be just fine. Until next time I guess.

Some pictures are in order now!

Time to begin

Hello and welcome!

Friends, family, and anyone who really cares this a new beginning so to speak. I've never been really fond of doing this whole blogging thing but I'll give it a shot! I don't really know what doing this will really accomplish but more than anything I can keep the people that matter the most still apart of my life in some way. I'm sure doing this will really help me more than anything, perhaps as a sort of therapy. We shall see.

I plan on documenting my life, plans, interests, challenges, and accomplishments here. And I guess whatever else seems to spew out. I have much to say and lots to learn still but we will get to that later. I'm excited to see where this goes! Like I said at the start of this, this is a new beginning. So, stick around with me and stay tuned.

Many more posts and an 'about me' soon enough.

Best wishes and much love,
Daniel
